Westflex Inc. is pleased to announce the acquisition of Pipe Technology, Inc., a 33 yearold Los Angeles-based fabrication and distribution company specializing in concrete pump hose, fittings, pump parts, pipes and accessories. Pipe Technology was founded in 1981 by Denis Lootens and is a major national supplier to the concrete pumping industry. “I have enjoyed developing new products, especially for the small line pump community. Westflex will continue to serve the many friends I have made in the industry,” says Lootens.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Sebastian Vidal as president and CEO of its new operation in Mexico. As head of Putzmeister Mexico, a division of Putzmeister America, Vidal will be responsible for overseeing the establishment of a manufacturing plant based in Monterrey, Mexico, located approximately 125 miles from the U.S. border.

Concrete contractors with exemplary safety records for 2012 were recognized by the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Missouri, at the association’s annual conference, September 19, in Columbus, Ohio.
