Concrete Construction has named its five most influential people for 2013, and prominent in the roster is ACPA member Bob Weatherton. The most-influential people are often selected based on specific recent accomplishments—this is not generally considered a lifetime achievement award. Sometimes, though, there are people who have moved mountains over the years and there’s a current reason to recognize those efforts.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has named Jerry Yu as general manager of municipal systems engineering, which is part of the Putzmeister Solid Pumps GmbH (PSP) division, headquartered at the Putzmeister operation in Germany.
Putzmeister America is partnering with PSP to further expand into biosolids handling in the municipal waste water treatment industry and biomass handling in the waste-toenergy industry in the Americas. Possessing more than ten years of experience in the industries, Yu will be leading the municipal systems engineering team for Putzmeister America.
The Norman-Spencer Agency, Inc., a leading national insurance provider and program administrator, announced October 11, 2013 that Jason Norman has been promoted to underwriting manager for Norman-Spencer’s proprietary concrete pumping program. He has spent several years in the department developing relationships with both key production sources and Norman-Spencer program carrier partners.
