Putzmeister America, Inc. has reorganized its customer support group into two divisions: Putzmeister service and technical support (PSS), which will be headed by Doug Brunet, and Putzmeister parts sales (PPS), which will be headed by Eric Zimmermann.
The reorganization is a result of an expanding spare parts business, as well as Putzmeister’s commitment to providing outstanding service to its customers, helping to extend the life of their equipment and providing for ease of operation.
Alliance Concrete Pumps is pleased to announce the addition of Jack Lusty as regional sales manager, effective December 1, 2014.
Jack will be responsible for sales efforts in the following states: Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia and Florida.
Bringing extensive knowledge of the concrete pumping and ready mix industries, Jack was most recently employed by Schwing America, Inc. as regional manager for their ready mix products and concrete pump division serving the Midwest, Eastern and Southeast regions.
In conjunction with the announcement of its 2015 service school lineup, Putzmeister America, Inc. is delighted to unveil its updated education facilities. Putzmeister invested considerable time and money to refresh the space to better accommodate its ever-growing service school program.
To create a more welcoming atmosphere, the facilities have been redone with new flooring, a fresh paint job and all new furniture. Attendees will also now be better equipped for the course with updated product diagrams and hands-on learning tools.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has unveiled its first ever Spanish website. The new www.PutzmeisterAmerica.com/es/. The new site offers extensive content that will provide Spanish-language website visitors and customers with information on Putzmeister’s latest developments, products and services.
Dennis C. Ahal, past president, American Society of Concrete Contractors, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the ASCC on September 18, 2014 at the organization’s annual conference in Denver, Colorado. The Lifetime Achievement Award is ASCC’s highest honor, acknowledging recipients for their body of work within the industry and their service to ASCC.
Ahal was president of ASCC from 1997 to 1998. He has also served on the technical review, liaison, nominating and administrative committees and led the organization’s first strategic planning process.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has named Rico Heinz director of production, responsible for restructuring the company’s manufacturing process to improve efficiency on all of its production lines. As a result of Putzmeister’s production increasing dramatically over the past few years, the company is looking to Heinz to help ensure it continues to meet customer demands efficiently without compromising the proven quality of its products.
Putzmeister America, Inc. now offers its website users a new search tool that allows them to locate qualified service technicians and local distributors nearest them.
“Using this new tool, our customers can even more easily connect with service technicians in their area,” said Doug Brunet, director of customer support for Putzmeister. “They can identify their exact service needs and be matched with a certified provider specifically qualified to solve their challenge.”
The Tilt-Up Concrete Association will be honoring Ed Sauter, the association’s longstanding executive director, at their Winter Tilt-Up Jubilee during World of Concrete February 4, 2015.
Sauter will enter part-time retirement at the end of this year and step down as TCA executive director. He began his tenure at the association in 1992, when—attending a meeting also held at WOC—he agreed to take over as interim director. He continued in the position for 23 years, bringing passion, commitment and leadership to the organization.
In response to increasing customer demand, Schwing America has added another boom inspector to the staff. Chuck Witte, longtime certified boom inspector and former Schwing employee, is back on the job. Witte has performed hundreds of boom inspections throughout his career. “We are grateful to have Chuck back at Schwing because experience is a great asset in boom inspections, and Chuck has tremendous experience,” according to Glen Grabowski, Schwing support manager. The growth in boom inspections is the result of more machines back in service and the growing awareness of boom safety.
