Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced the establishment of Putzmeister Mexico, a division of Putzmeister America, which will include a manufacturing plant based in Monterrey, Mexico, located approximately 125 miles from the U.S. border.
“Creating a division of Putzmeister America in Mexico has been a goal of ours for a long time,” said Dave Adams, Putzmeister America’s president and CEO. “The central location of this division and manufacturing plant will allow us to better serve our customers in Mexico and throughout Latin America.”
Putzmeister Mexico’s new, approximately 50,000-square foot plant will be responsible for manufacturing concrete equipment and other industry-related machinery. Its location will allow products to be easily distributed to the U.S., as well as providing access to main ports in Mexico for exportation to Latin America. The plant will commence production in summer 2014.
Industry veteran Sebastian Vidal has been named president and CEO of Putzmeister Mexico.
