Construction Forms’ Executive Transition with New Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Construction Forms, Inc., announced the appointment of Stephan Achs as the company’s chief sales and marketing officer.

At Construction Forms, Wisconsin-based leader in the development of concrete pumping systems and accessories, Achs will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic and tactical direction of the sales organization for key growth. His addition to the organization comes as a result of the retirement of the current vice president of sales, Robert Hamilton.

Putzmeister America, Inc. Hires Mike Eubank as North Region Sales Representative

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Mike Eubank as a North Region sales representative. In this role, Eubank will be responsible for securing direct sales and dealer channel sales. Eubank has eight years of sales experience in concrete materials and supplies. He began his career with an inside sales position at a construction equipment rental company, and most recently worked with Logan Contractors Supply in Olathe, Kansas.

Cemstone Announces 2019 Scholarship Recipients

ASCC Publishes 44th Position Statement

ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, has published its forty-fourth Position Statement, “Measuring Air Content in Non-Air-Entrained Concrete.”  ASCC Position Statements clarify the concrete contractors’ point of view for architects, engineers, owners and others.

ACI Symposium Online Courses

ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has added two online, on-demand courses to its ACI University: Ward R. Malisch Concrete Construction Symposium Parts 1 and 2.  The courses cover information on concrete constructability issues in honor of Dr. Ward R. Malisch, a former senior managing director and an Honorary Member of ACI.  Malisch is presently concrete construction specialist for the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC).

Putzmeister Contributes to World Record Concrete Pour at Polavaram Dam

Putzmeister India, Inc. assisted in setting two Guinness World Records, one for Largest Continuous Concrete Pour and one for Most Concrete Continuously Poured in 24 Hours. The record-setting pour took place on the site of the Polavaram Project in Andhra Pradesh, continuously pouring 42,267 cubic yards of concrete for 24 hours.

Gary Nichols Receives Schwing’s Lifetime Achievement Award

Schwing America associates took time out from World of Concrete this year to honor Gary Nichols with the “Tom Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award,” the company’s top award acknowledging a person’s outstanding contributions to Schwing and the concrete pumping industry.

Tom O’Malley, Schwing senior vice president for sales and marketing, presented the award, citing the many achievements made by Nichols, including a history in concrete that spans more than five decades.

Putzmeister America, Inc. Remembers Longtime Friend Joaquin Zamora

Putzmeister America, Inc. is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Joaquin Zamora, who was a longtime friend and employee of Putzmeister.

Joaquin began his career with Putzmeister 25 years ago in production. During his tenure at Putzmeister, he became very well respected by his peers and worked his way up to assisting in the creation of the Latin America and Caribbean export business for the company, becoming a Latin America service manager.
