Putzmeister Academy Announces 2020 Schedule

At Putzmeister Academy, our thoughtfully designed training programs are focused on the customers getting the maximum value out of their Putzmeister equipment.

An integral part of this is first-hand knowledge of the challenges our customers will face, whether they’re building a skyscraper or an underwater tunnel. Putzmeister has experience across a wide range of geographies, projects and working conditions. And customers don’t just get to learn how to best use Putzmeister equipment; they’ll also discover how it can best help their specific projects under specific conditions. These tried and tested approaches, combined with practical experience gathered from the day-to-day working across our comprehensive range of products, make our training sessions a treasure trove of valuable information for both owners and operators on the field.

These courses focus on different areas of the machines, including safety, proper set up, operations, maintenance, emergency use procedures and diagnostic troubleshooting. They are directed towards both new and experienced equipment operators and technicians. Classes are balanced with both classroom theory and practical hands-on application in a shop and outdoor environment. Further, our workshops and training courses can be tailored to the specific needs of your company.

The Trainers

Training will be provided by Alan Woods and Nick Johnson.

Alan Woods has 21 years of experience at Putzmeister as a field service tech and training manager. He’s been in the concrete pumping industry since 1986, and has traveled the world over maintaining Putzmeister equipment and training others how to use it since 1998.

Woods says, “My passion is teaching. I love to share past experiences from the real world of pumping concrete with customers while adding the factory manufacturer perspective.”

Nick Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and has been with Putzmeister for 13 years as a customer support rep, technical services engineer and a technical trainer.

Since joining Putzmeister, he’s traveled to customer sites to set up their new equipment and performed repairs. He’s experienced with shotcrete, underground tunneling and mining applications as well. Johnson says, “I enjoy explaining the technical aspects of our equipment.”
