Putzmeister’s over $1 million investment in a state-of-the-art research and development facility is setting a new standard for equipment in the concrete industry. The research and development facility, located in Aichtal, Germany, ensures every piece of Putzmeister equipment will maintain its strength and reliability for years of heavy use.

Construction Forms, Inc. has hired Tim Harmann as a senior inside sales representative.
Tim brings with him over twenty years of product knowledge and customer service in the concrete pumping industry, most recently at Putzmeister America. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and has completed business management courses at Carthage College.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Ing. Juan Carlos Londono as the regional sales manager for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACA) for Putzmeister Industrial Technology Equipment and Special Applications Business. In this role, Londono will be responsible for sales of products and systems for the transportation and storage of sludges and solids within the Putzmeister Industrial Technologies Business. He will also support LACA in Special Applications in the concrete industry.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has appointed Jonathan Dawley as the new president and CEO. In his role, Dawley will be responsible for all commercial, financial and operational aspects of Putzmeister business in North America, Latin America and Brazil.

Proving its commitment to the industries it serves, Schwing was a proud sponsor of both the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) Concrete Executive Leadership Forum and the Concrete Foundations Association’s summer meeting. Both events took place in Utah, only 30 miles apart, between July 19-21.
Effective February 21, 2018, Putzmeister America, Inc. was successfully re-certified in safety from the Concrete Pump Manufacturers Association (CPMA). Putzmeister’s 30-, 40-, 50-, 60-meter class boom pumps, placing booms, BSA Large Line trailer pumps and Thom-Katt® trailer pumps have been awarded compliance by the CPMA.
Longtime Schwing employee Carl Quist has transitioned to a field service technician position serving the Midwest. He has served in multiple roles at the company since starting in 1989, when he was a mechanic in main assembly. From there he advanced to lead/ coordinator positions in assembly before joining the engineering team as an electrical designer in 2002.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has released a new app to make every customer an expert. The “Putzmeister Experts” app will provide customers with helpful videos and instructions for the company’s products.
In-depth knowledge on the functions of machines, guides for proper setup and operation, tips for maintenance and troubleshooting and information about accessories are all topics covered by the app.
Autocar hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new manufacturing plant in Center Point, Alabama on April 19, 2018. Governor Kay Ivey, Jefferson County commissioner Joe Knight and Center Point mayor Tom Henderson were in attendance at the event, along with Autocar chairman Andrew Taitz and president Jim Johnston.
