Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Chris Albright as Northeast regional sales representative. In this role, Albright will focus on selling the entire line of Putzmeister products. His area of sales coverage includes the states of: Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Lee Springer as the Southeast regional sales representative. In this role, he will focus on boom pump sales in South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.
Springer brings seven years of versatile sales experience to Putzmeister America. Most recently, he enjoyed five successful years in automotive parts sales management.
Schwing has announced its 2018 service seminar schedule, offering intermediate training for operators/mechanics and advanced training for mechanics. The seminars are held at Schwing’s dedicated training facility in White Bear, Minnesota, and includes multi-media training aids and hands-on trouble-shooting. Students also receive a service manual on CD-ROM, along with a printed copy of the training manual. Concrete pump owners, operators and mechanics are advised to sign up soon.

After a year of fits and starts, Congress finally seems to have begun moving the legislative ball forward. As I write this, the tax reform package is headed to the president’s desk. This bill, which represents the first true legislative achievement of the Trump era, is likely to contribute to a significant increase in U.S. economic growth during 2018, and contains many construction industry policy priorities advocated by ACPA as part of the North American Concrete Alliance, including expanded equipment expensing and the continuation of private activity bonds to support major capital projects.
