For the fourth year running, six lucky truck owners will be chosen by Mack Trucks' social media followers to appear in next year's Mack Calendar. The contest runs from April 2 to May 31, 2019.

GREENSBORO, NC – Kriete Truck Center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is Mack Trucks’ 2018 North American Dealer of the Year. Mack made the announcement during its annual dealer meeting, which brings together dealer leadership from the U.S. and Canada.
Kriete Truck Center of Milwaukee finished the year 17 percent above its sales plan and 29 percent above its leasing plan.
Mack Trucks will offer the Mack® mDRIVE™ HD automated manual transmission (AMT) in Mack TerraPro® concrete pumper models beginning in 2019, marking the first time in the industry that an AMT has been available in a cabover concrete pumper.
With a growing customer base and expanding product line, Schwing America is broadening its service team with the addition of a service specialist. Tom Jaeger has joined the service team in the newly-created position and will report to senior vice president Tom O’Malley. “Tom Jaeger brings the background and knowledge necessary to provide the highest levels of service, solutions and support that Schwing customers have grown to expect,” stated O’Malley.
Putzmeister America, Inc launched a new used equipment website on November 1. The new website features more in-depth details about each piece of equipment, improved search functions and a mobile device-friendly format.
On the new used equipment site, customers will find detailed information on available equipment. Each listing includes several photos, pricing information, detailed specifications and the ability to compare the equipment with one another. Additionally, the new search functions allow customers to narrow results by country, make, year, price and location.
Two Schwing stationary pump dealers serving portions of northern and southern, California have announced expansions to bet ter serve their growing customer base in those areas.
The dealers, Redwood Empire Concrete Pumping Equipment (Santa Rosa, California) and Pernicano’s Concrete Pumping (San Diego, California), have added a combined 5,800 square feet of space to their operations. According to Jason Zignego, Schwing SP sales manager, the move for both was prompted by steadily increasing sales of stationary pumps in California.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has welcomed Bastian Dreher to the sales department as inside sales, back office and network manager. In his role, Dreher will be responsible for creating a channel network to be close to the customer in sales, service and parts.
To help ensure the safety of personnel using its placing booms, Schwing now offers a LifeLine System utilizing a safety tie-off cable that can be used in conjunction with most fall-protection systems (FPS).
On Schwing SPB (separate placing boom) units, the boom is mounted to an octagonal mast or cross frame. According to Mark Berggren, Schwing publications manager, it is during the assembly process that workers are most at risk.
