This is at least in part because Reptile theory asserts that you can prevail at trial by speaking to—and scaring—the primitive part of jurors’ brains, commonly understood as the part of the brain they share with reptiles.
Schwing has announced that Cole Richards has joined the team as the new regional sales manager for the South Central Region. Cole comes to Schwing with a sales background and experience in the concrete pumping industry, most recently with Putzmeister America.
In addition to his sales experience, Cole is a certified welder with a certificate in welding from George Trade School. He worked as a welder at Caterpillar before transitioning to sales.

ST. LOUIS, MO – The joint Paving Committee of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Silver Spring, MD has assembled a Paving Tool Kit, a library of resources for concrete paving contractors and designers.
Conco Pumping recently received two different safety awards: the 2019 Albert H. Atwood Safety Achievement Award and the Southern California Contractor Association (SCCA) Zero Accidents 2018 award.
The Atwood Award was made on the basis of Conco’s diligent efforts over the course of four years to address the safety risk posed by the lack of fall protection systems on concrete boom pumps, separate placing booms and Telebelt mobile conveyors. As a prominent commercial concrete contractor, Conco was uniquely positioned to address the issue.
Krzysztof Jechorek has been added to the Schwing field service team, expanding the ranks of technicians to support customers with diagnoses, repair and inspection of their Schwing equipment. Jechorek brings more than four years of relevant experience with heavy machinery, including concrete pumps. His most recent experience was with a concrete pump manufacturer.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Tracy Turner as regional sales director North. In this role, Turner will be responsible for overseeing direct sales and dealer channel sales.
Turner has 20 years of experience in industrial sales and sales management. He began his career as a national account manager for Cintas Corporation, and most recently worked with Storage Battery Systems in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
Due to expanding demand for Schwing’s Loop Belt product line, the company has appointed Dan McGiveron as a new sales/service representative. McGiveron brings extensive experience to the position with more than twenty years of conveyor sales and service experience, most recently with the former Loop Belt Industries, from whom Schwing purchased the Loop Belt product line in 2018. Prior to that position, McGiveron worked for Lang Equipment Sales, Wausau, Wisconsin.
Men and women from throughout the Midwest met on May 4 for an ACPA operator training seminar. Former Schwing employee and industry expert, Dan Mace, conducted the seminar at Schwing’s dedicated training facility at its White Bear, Minnesota factory. “Schwing has always promoted the ACPA’s safety initiatives and hosting this seminar was an easy decision,” said Tom O’Malley, senior VP at Schwing and a current ACPA board member. Nearly 50 people attended the all-day session that included lunch. A certification test was administered at the end.
