Schwing Hosts Operator Safety Seminar

Men and women from throughout the Midwest met on May 4 for an ACPA operator training seminar. Former Schwing employee and industry expert, Dan Mace, conducted the seminar at Schwing’s dedicated training facility at its White Bear, Minnesota factory. “Schwing has always promoted the ACPA’s safety initiatives and hosting this seminar was an easy decision,” said Tom O’Malley, senior VP at Schwing and a current ACPA board member. Nearly 50 people attended the all-day session that included lunch. A certification test was administered at the end.

Conco Pumping Wins Safety Award from the Engineering Contractors’ Association

Conco Pumping Southern California, one of The Conco Companies, was recently presented with an award from the Engineering Contractors’ Association, “For Exemplary Outstanding Workplace Safety, Under 150,000 Hours.”

Putzmeister America, Inc. Hires Tony Inglese as Regional Sales Director, South Central

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Tony Inglese as regional sales director, South Central. In this role, Inglese will be responsible for overseeing sales and solving customer challenges. He will be based out of Atlanta.

Schwing Adds California-Based Service Tech

Robert Hamilton has been added to the Schwing Field Service Team. Hamilton brings a wealth of valuable experience to his new position, most recently with Southern California Industrial Equipment, Corona, California.

In his nearly four years with the company, Hamilton advanced from field service technician to lead service tech. He spent his first one-and-a-half years diagnosing and repairing equipment at customer locations. Most recently, he had been working directly under the service manager training new technicians.

Putzmeister America, Inc. Hires Scot Behnke as Western Sales Representative

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Scot Behnke as a Western sales representative. In this role, Behnke will be responsible for territory management and acquiring new business with trailer, line pump and boom pump sales. He is based in the Los Angeles area.

Behnke has more than 20 years of experience in construction, heavy equipment and land development sales. He began his career in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and was most recently employed by Phoenix-based Empire Caterpillar. He also holds a B.A. in marketing from Michigan State University.

Construction Forms’ Executive Transition with New Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Construction Forms, Inc., announced the appointment of Stephan Achs as the company’s chief sales and marketing officer.

At Construction Forms, Wisconsin-based leader in the development of concrete pumping systems and accessories, Achs will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic and tactical direction of the sales organization for key growth. His addition to the organization comes as a result of the retirement of the current vice president of sales, Robert Hamilton.

ASCC Publishes 44th Position Statement

ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, has published its forty-fourth Position Statement, “Measuring Air Content in Non-Air-Entrained Concrete.”  ASCC Position Statements clarify the concrete contractors’ point of view for architects, engineers, owners and others.

ACI Symposium Online Courses

ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Concrete Institute (ACI) has added two online, on-demand courses to its ACI University: Ward R. Malisch Concrete Construction Symposium Parts 1 and 2.  The courses cover information on concrete constructability issues in honor of Dr. Ward R. Malisch, a former senior managing director and an Honorary Member of ACI.  Malisch is presently concrete construction specialist for the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC).

LOUIS, MO – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, will hold its eighteenth Annual Conference September 19-22, 2019 at the Westin Chicago Northwest, Itasca, IL.  Concrete contractors, manufacturers, designers and other industry professionals will gather for three days of educational events and networking.

Putzmeister America, Inc. Welcomes Bob Bartholomew as Chief Financial Officer

Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced Bob Bartholomew as its new chief financial officer (CFO). In his new role, Bob will be responsible for financial planning and managing financial risks, while overseeing the finance and information technology teams.

Bob comes to Putzmeister with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, financial services and hospitality. Most recently, he was the global senior director of finance for JLG Aftermarket. Bartholomew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
