Mack Partners with Three Tech Programs to Offer Advanced Diesel Technician Training

GREENSBORO, NC – Mack Trucks is partnering with colleges in Florida, Ohio and Texas to offer the Diesel Advanced Technology Education (DATE) program beginning in early 2019 to address a shortage of skilled vehicle service technicians.

Students enrolled in the 500-hour program will be trained to work on Mack® trucks, including powertrains, electrical and electronic systems, chassis components and software and engine diagnosis and repair.

Nick Rice Named Schwing Field Service Tech

Schwing has added Nick Rice to its field service staff to support a growing number of customers nationwide. “Nick brings a wealth of expertise to the job to help us out in the Southeast region,” according to Myron Birschbach, vice president of aftermarket products. Rice served as a technician with a concrete pumper in Texas before joining Amerit Fleet Solutions, where his most recent position was replacing components on frac sand pumps in the oil fields.
