ASCC Concrete Executive Leadership Forum Registration is Now Open

ST. LOUIS, MO – Registration for the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC)  Concrete Executive Leadership Forum (CELF) is now open.  The 2018 CELF is July 19-22 at Montage Deer Valley, Park City, UT. “Executives from the nation’s leading concrete contracting and general contracting firms attend the Forum every year to bolster their leadership and management skills,” says Bev Garnant, executive director, ASCC.

ASCC DCC Awards 2018

ST. LOUIS, MO - The Decorative Concrete Council (DCC), a specialty council of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Mo., has announced the winners of its tenth annual Decorative Concrete Awards competition.  The winners were recognized at a ceremony at the World of Concrete, Las Vegas, on January 24, 2018.

ST. LOUIS, MO – Chris Forster, Largo Concrete, Tustin, CA, has been elected first vice president of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO for 2018-2019. Bill Bramschreiber, Glendora, CA; Anthony DeCarlo, Cincinnati, OH; and Mario Garza, Southville, MI, were re-elected vice-presidents. Keith Wayne, Kannapolis, NC, was re-elected treasurer.

LA Housing Partnership Commits to Building Stronger Communities

Build with Strength, a coalition of the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association consisting of community organizations, fire service professionals, architects, engineers and industry experts committed to enacting safer and more sustainable building standards, is pleased to welcome the Los Angeles Housing Partnership as a new member of the coalition.  The community organization joins a growing list of advocates who are working to ensure that the most vulnerable residents in cities such as Los Angeles have access to safe and secure housing. 

Two More New Jersey Counties Unanimously Adopt Fire Safety Resolutions in Support of Stronger Building Codes

On Thursday evening, councilmembers of the Camden County and Middlesex County Boards of Freeholders voted unanimously to adopt a resolution in support of New Jersey Assembly Bill 135, statewide legislation that would amend New Jersey’s construction code for fire safety reasons, and provide an added level of protection for firefighters and residents alike.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has established a sales management team consisting of four regional sales directors (RSD) managing four regions in the U.S. and three in Canada. With the reorganization of the sales force, Putzmeister America will continue to provide the best customer satisfaction with dedicated teams, faster response times and hands-on support that is closer to the customer.

CPE America Hires Tony Inglese as Vice President of Operations

Sebastian Falzon, president and CEO of CPE America is pleased to announce that Tony Inglese has joined the team as vice president of operations. Tony has more than 15 years of experience in the concrete pumping industry, with proven leadership in management, production and operations processes.

Prior to joining CPE America, Tony served as CEO for Concrete Pump Supply and was concrete pumping program manager for NBIS. Tony has served on the American Concrete Pumping Association board of directors for the last six years.
