Long-time Schwing employee Tom Eggert will lead this strategic expansion, utilizing his industry experience. “Tom has demonstrated his keen ability to identify customer-focused solutions in his 35-year history with the company,” explains Brian Hazelton, Schwing CEO. “In this newly created position, he will be focused on developing and bringing to market innovative products for the future.”
In November, 2013, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) inducted Friedrich Schwing Sr. (1909-1992), founder of Schwing GmbH, Herne, Germany into their prestigious Hall of Fame. Ceremonies were held at the Association’s Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida.
S.E. Intermat, owner and organizer of the INTERMAT trade shows, and Hanley Wood, LLC, organizer of World of Concrete, have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a new event, “World of Concrete Europe.”

Seven—yes, that’s right, seven—years ago I was asked by the ACPA’s executive director, Christi Collins, to attend a meeting with the California Air Resource Board, “fondly” known as CARB to see if anything they were working on would be of interest or have an effect upon concrete pumpers. The answer was “$%&@#!!!” Since then, I have attended almost every monthly board meeting and served on any number of committees and panels to try and slow down or stop this growing bureaucracy.
