Recent changes to the site have added several timesaving features to further enhance the benefits of online ordering.

“We have addressed customer requests for more part numbers in the online system,” according to Schwing America’s call center manager, Tom McAulay. Customers can speed the ordering process by specifying their requests by part number. Another response to customer requests was the enhancement of parts availability figures posted online when the order is entered. Now during the ordering process, the quantity of a specific part will be displayed to assure the customer the part needed is available.

Additional information added to the site includes dimensions, weights and photos to aid in identifying parts and to provide better estimates for shipping costs. “Our customers are increasing their online ordering because of 24-hour ordering convenience, seven days a week,” McAulay notes. “But we also have an experienced call center staff available 12 hours a day during the business week to answer questions and offer support.”
