Schwing America is pleased to announce the acquisition of management control of Concrete Pump Repair (CPR) through the purchase of 50 percent of the company’s shares. Effective December 1, 2012, Concrete Pump Repair, located in North Branch, Minnesota, will operate as a subsidiary of Schwing America, Inc., a subsidiary of Schwing GmbH. Gerhard Schwing will continue as the owner of the remaining 50 percent of the company’s shares.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has named Drew Williams regional sales manager for the company’s new concrete mixer line. Previously, Williams served as inside sales and customer service manager for Putzmeister Shotcrete Technology.
As regional sales manager for the concrete mixer line, Williams will be responsible for demonstrating and selling the new equipment in his designated territory. He will report directly to Roger Anderson, sales and marketing manager for the concrete mixer line.
Tom Oury was recently appointed to the position of Schwing central regional manager in the U.S. and Canada. Oury will be responsible for sales of Schwing’s line of concrete equipment and customer service in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and the province of Manitoba.
The Schwing S 43 SX truck-mounted concrete pump with RZ5 placing boom has been chosen by the editors of Construction Equipment Magazine as a Top 100 Products Award winner. Several hundred products introduced in the last year were considered. According to Construction Equipment editorial director, Rod Sutton, “These awards serve to emphasize innovations, highlighting manufacturers who are investing in research and development. Their investments pay off for equipment users in the form of greater productivity, efficiencies and safety. They also ensure a competitive marketplace.”
Construction Forms, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of Jim Bodeker as their South Central regional sales manager. Jim brings with him 18 years of experience in the concrete pumping marketplace, working for Con- Forms dealers in different regions in the U.S. “We are pleased to have the opportunity to hire someone with Jim’s wealth of knowledge in our business. With his experience and customer service abilities, Jim will be an immediate asset to our sales team,” states Al Kastelic, president and CEO of Construction Forms, Inc.
Bill Dlhosh has returned to Concrete Pump Supply in the role of equipment sales. The position will be responsible for sales of new and used concrete pumps. As the Putzmeister dealer for the Southeastern U.S. (excluding Florida), Bill will also be promoting CPS’ parts and service departments.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has added four parts sales representatives to its customer support group: Carlos Garcia, Gordy Hartwig, James Nelson and Keith Wall. In the role, they are each responsible for responding to customer requests and processing orders for customers located throughout North America.
A Putzmeister employee for more than eight years, Garcia previously worked as technical documentation specialist for the company. He also has experience in power tool service and repair.
Bill Murray has been appointed chief financial officer of Schwing America, Inc. while also being added to the company’s board of directors. In his new position, Murray will have responsibility for the finance, accounting and information technology areas within the company. Murray brings valuable experience to the position after working with Schwing for two years during his tenure at Lighthouse Management Group, a leading management consulting firm in the upper Midwest.
Putzmeister America, Inc. is in the process of re-branding all of its small line equipment, including Thom-Katt® trailer pumps, mortar machines and shotcrete equipment. Previously blue and cream, the small line equipment’s new standard colors are changing to yellow and gray.
The change in paint color reflects the streamlining of the overall Putzmeister brand and each of its product lines.
Schwing now offers pre-owned concrete equipment directly from the factory. “We think customers should trust their pre-owned purchase to the factory that built it,” according to director of product remarketing, Jim Graham. The company has also embarked on a Schwing Certified Pre-Owned Program with a “We Build It, We Back It,” theme. Pre-owned equipment is displayed on the new Schwing website at www.schwing.com.
