Schwing Adds Regional Sales Manager

Tom Oury was recently appointed to the position of Schwing central regional manager in the U.S. and Canada. Oury will be responsible for sales of Schwing’s line of concrete equipment and customer service in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and the province of Manitoba.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry. “Tom is a perfect fit for the regional manager position,” according to Schwing CEO Brian Hazelton. “He is experienced, professional and very skilled in customer relations.”

Oury began his career in 1981 at Rotec Industries, manufacturers of mass concrete placing equipment for dams and heavy civil projects and advanced to the position of vice president of sales North America after 16 years with the company. Tom then served as district sales manager in the Midwest for Somero Enterprises, manufacturers of the Laser Screed, and eventually rising to vice president of sales—Western Region USA, Australia and Asia after more than 10 years. Most recently, Oury has been with Omnex Controls, suppliers of remote controls for heavy construction equipment as sales manager.

Oury holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Indiana University and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management. His responsibilities will include the complete line of Schwing truck-mounted concrete pumps with placing booms, stationary pumps, truck mixers and related Schwing equipment. Tom will continue to reside in Illinois with his family.
