The pumping industry has changed in many ways over the years, and today’s pump operators undergo rigorous certification to demonstrate their knowledge of safe practices and proficiency with their valuable equipment.

Schwing Customers Attend Bauma 2016

A contingent of more than 100 Schwing customers and employees joined a recordsetting crowd at Bauma 2016, the largest construction trade show in the world, held April 11-17 in Munich. The Schwing customers earned their trips by purchasing a concrete pump through a 2015 sales promotion. The international trade fair attracted more than 580,000 attendees from 200 countries, with 3,423 exhibits spread over 140 acres.

American Concrete Pumping Association Announces the Co-Location of 2016 Education Conference with the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association ConcreteWorks

The American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA) and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) announce the co-location of the 2016 ACPA Gaining the Edge Education Conference and NRMCA ConcreteWorks conference.

Putzmeister Exhibits at Bauma 2016 in Munich

Putzmeister Concrete Pumps GmbH, Putzmeister America, Inc.’s parent company, headquartered in Germany, had a significant presence at Bauma 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for construction, building material and mining machines and construction vehicles and equipment. At the trade show, held April 8-14, 2016 in Munich, two large Putzmeister booths focused on various concrete pumps, mixers and placing booms.

Schwing and CPI KC Partner with Blue Hat Crane for Parts and Service

Schwing and its local dealer CPI, KC has expanded their ability to service concrete pump customers in the Kansas City and the surrounding area with a new partner for parts and service. Blue Hat Crane, a division of JE Dunn, provides its national customer base with turnkey service, expertise and technical support for all crane-related activities. In the Kansas City area, the company now provides service and parts support for Schwing customers.

Putzmeister Named Germany’s National Public Champion in European Business Awards

Putzmeister Concrete Pumps GmbH, Putzmeister America, Inc.’s parent company, headquartered in Germany, has been named its country’s “National Public Champion” in the prestigious European Business Awards. Selected from a highly esteemed group of competing German companies, Putzmeister will now move on to compete against 32 European companies to be named the “European Public Champion.”

Schwing Passes CPMA Audit for Certification

Schwing America recently recently passed its audit to remain a member in good standing with the Concrete Pump Manufacturers Association (CPMA). The audit is conducted every three years and is one requirement of membership in the association, which is dedicated to supplying equipment and accessories to the concrete pumping industry that meet or exceed the requirements contained in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) B30.27 Safety Standard.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced the return of Jim Focareto as senior vice president of finance and CFO. In the role, he will be responsible for all financial, management information system and control matters.

Concrete Pump Repair Has New Website

Concrete Pump Repair (CPR) a Schwing company, has launched a new website at www.concretepumps.com. The 26-yearold company provides world-class repairs, rebuilds, retrucks and repainting of all brands of concrete pumps. CPR also carries an extensive inventory of used pumps that can be bought “as is” or refurbished with a warranty.
