Putzmeister America, Inc., has promoted longtime employee Greg Giese to manager of pre-delivery quality assurance, responsible for day-to-day functions of the testing and predelivery inspection (PDI) departments, and ensuring Putzmeister continues to adhere to the stringent quality standards inherent in its brand.

In announcing Myron Birschbach as the new vice president / general manager of aftermarket sales and service, Schwing America’s CEO, Brian Hazleton, stated, “The ability of Schwing America to exceed the expectations of our customers after their initial purchase is of utmost importance to us.” Birschbach brings extensive experience to the newly created position. His responsibilities will include parts sales, product support and training and warranty.
Construction Forms, Inc., announced the appointment of Mark Troyer as the company’s vice president of operations and engineering.

Ward R. Malisch, Ph.D., PE, concrete construction specialist, American Society of Concrete Contractors, received the World of Concrete Legacy Award on February 2, 2016, just prior to the show’s opening in Las Vegas. WOC established the Legacy Award to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the concrete and masonry industries, and who have left a lasting mark on the show.

Chris Plue, Webcor Concrete, San Francisco, California, has been elected first vice-president of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, Missouri, for 2015-2016. Anthony DeCarlo, Cincinnati, Ohio; Chris Forster, Tustin, California; and Mario Garza, Southville, Michigan, were re-elected vicepresidents; and Keith Wayne, Kannapolis, North Carolina, was re-elected as treasurer.
In 2016, Ramcrete Incorporated, Hamilton, Ohio, a long-time leader in the concrete pumping industry, is celebrating 40 years of service to the construction industry. Founder Ron Morgan and his son Todd represent two generations of leadership in the industry, including service to the ACPA as board members. Like most early pumpers, Ramcrete overcame the bias against concrete pumps by working hard to establish the method. “We were fortunate to get in the business when reliable concrete pumps were coming on the market,” states Ron.
