Putzmeister America, Inc. has introduced a new instructional video for operators of its next generation of boom pumps. The informational video features the company’s training manager, Alan Woods, detailing the operation, maintenance and special features of both new 36Z-and 56Z-meter truck-mounted concrete boom pumps.
ATLAS GmbH is pleased to announce their recent contractual agreement with Irving Equipment, LLC, located in Tiffin, Ohio, who is now the exclusive importer and primary distributor for ATLAS Cranes in the U.S. market. All products will be sold through authorized ATLAS representatives. This deal will allow for full distribution of ATLAS crane products through dealers, as well as some direct sales. Additionally, Irving will offer work-ready truck and crane packages they have assembled in the Tiffin facility.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Brian Kent as East Coast sales representative for the company’s parts and pipe technology divisions. In the role, he will support Putzmeister’s distributors on the East Coast and work with them to serve parts and pipe customers.
With 20 years of experience in the concrete and materials pumping industry, Kent most recently conducted field training and pump support for a concrete pumping company in Pennsylvania. There, he operated pumps to install self-leveling cements and trained others on pump operation safety. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.
In response to increasing customer demand, Schwing America is pleased to announce the addition of two field boom inspectors, Steve Leath and Kyle Smith. Growth in boom inspections is the result of more machines in service and the growing awareness of work site safety. Leath and Smith joined the Schwing team and have become fully certified to the newest Schwing inspection and welding criteria, which are so critical to ensure proper procedures for safety and the preservation of equipment value.
Tony Inglese re-joins the Concrete Pump Supply (CPS) team as CEO effective December 19th, 2016. In his new role, Inglese will oversee all operations for both Concrete Pump Supply as well as Enviro-Systems, Incorporated.
ST. LOUIS, MO – The Safety and Risk Management Council (SRMC) of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, has published a new Safety Bulletin: OSHA’s New Final Rule on Crystalline Silica Dust.
The New Rule went into effect June 23, 2016 but allows a one year leeway for the industry to fully comply. The ruling cuts the Permissible Exposure Level (PEL) by half, a significant change that concrete trades need to prepare for. It also increases the amount of medical exams and recordkeeping required.
Using its 2016 National Convention as a launching pad, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) has unveiled Build with Strength, a multi-million dollar coordinated industry campaign to better educate the design / build and code communities about the benefits of concrete construction in the low- to mid-rise sector, and in general.
Putzmeister America, Inc., has added Don Fees as parts sales manager—concrete transit mixers. In the role, he will be responsible for parts sales and product management of concrete transit mixers out of Putzmeister’s Houston facility.
With 24 years of experience in service parts sales, product management and ready mix operations, Fees brings considerable industry knowledge to his new role. Throughout his career, he has held various positions within the industry, most recently as parts division manager for a large concrete mixer manufacturing company.
Adam Wallace has returned to Schwing as west/central regional sales manager. Wallace originally joined Schwing in 2006 after graduating college and worked in ready mix equipment sales for the company. “It is with great pleasure that I return to a first class company that is also an industry leader,” according to Wallace.
