The North American Concrete Alliance (NACA) praised the passage of the America’s Water Infrastructure Act, which continues the cycle of passing a Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) every two years. Passage of vital water infrastructure and resource programs every two years means Congress is ensuring America can build and maintain 21st Century infrastructure, while supporting the 600,000 jobs across the cement and concrete industries.
In a few weeks, the International Council of Codes (ICC), the organization which develops model codes and standards used in the design, build and compliance of constructing safe, sustainable, affordable and resilient structures, will vote on proposed code changes which would allow wood to enter into the tall building market up to 18 stories.

John Richard “Dick” O’Dell was born May 8, 1943, in Seward, Nebraska and passed away in Scottsdale, Arizona on July 18, 2018, at the age of 75 years, 2 months, 10 days. Putzmeister’s holiday greeting card reimagined the classic song, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee, to include the Putzmeister 39Z-meter truck-mounted boom pump and other industry-related lyrics. The lyrics were placed inside a white card that unfolded to resemble a snowflake and included a Putzmeister keychain.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Justin Fagan as director of product management. In this role, Justin will focus on leveraging his skills and experiences in strategy development, product management and aftermarket services to support Putzmeister’s key initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Fagan joins Putzmeister after eight years with Komatsu Mining Corporation, where he held increasingly responsible positions in product management and aftermarket services. He began his career by serving in the U.S. Army as an infantry leader.
