Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Carlos Moreno as operations manager at its new Houston sales and service facility. As operations manager, he will oversee the staff responsible for mounting and servicing concrete transit mixers and providing service on mixers and pumps.
ST. LOUIS, MO July 23 --Two documents from the American Society of Concrete Contractors, the Safety Manual and the Safety Management Plan, have been newly revised and updated to reflect changes in OSHA regulations and the concrete construction industry. These programs were written by concrete contractors, for concrete contractors, with the goal of helping the industry as a whole.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced the opening of its Houston, Texas location— a 41,400-square-foot facility opened in March 2015 on six acres of property. The operations based there include the mounting center for concrete transit mixers, service center for concrete transit mixers, and Protech Pre-owned Service Center for concrete pumps and Telebelts®.
With business activity increasing, Schwing has added a sales administrator and parts specialist to better serve customers. Carolyn Moncada, a seasoned professional in corporate sales, service and internal communications was most recently with Deluxe Corp., a Shoreview, Minnesota-based company providing services to small businesses. “Carolyn’s background with customer services aligns with Schwing’s mission that ‘Our customer is at the core of all we do’,” according to Brian Hazelton, Schwing America CEO.

Due to the popularity of its factory service seminars, Schwing has announced additional dates to its 2015 service schedule to include an intermediate seminar on August 17-20 and advanced seminar August 24-27, both for Spanish-speaking customers. English versions of the same seminars will be offered September 28-October 1 (intermediate) and October 5-8 (advanced). The seminars are divided into different levels to appeal to a wide audience of concrete pumping professionals.
Putzmeister America, Inc. is offering a free extended warranty on all Mack chassis for domestic truck-mounted boom pumps or Telebelts®. In addition to the standard warranty on both 11-liter and 13-liter engines, the extended warranty offers additional coverage for a total of 60 months or 250,000 miles under unlimited hours of operation.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced a few key personnel additions to its new Houston, Texas location. Putzmeister has hired Mike Hall as a product manager and Scott Blaise as a parts sales manager.
Most recently working 25 years for Continental Mixers, Hall joins Putzmeister with more than 30 years of industry experience. In his new role, Hall will be responsible for customer service and relations; product design and performance improvements; improving the manufacturing process at the Monterrey, Mexico plant; and establishing an assembly process at the Houston facility.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced the addition of Peter Mendel as Putzmeister’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. Mendel will be responsible for Putzmeister’s operational activities, which include Putzmeister America and its subsidiaries Putzmeister Brazil and Putzmeister Mexico. Mendel joins the team with experience and expertise in operations, engineering, manufacturing and quality in industries located in the U.S., Germany and Mexico.
