Putzmeister America, Inc. has received six 2015 Communicator Awards in the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts’ (AIVA) 21st annual awards competition. With more than 6,000 entries received from across the U.S. and around the world, the Communicator Awards program is the largest and most competitive, honoring the creative excellence for communications professionals.
All six awards were in relation to Putzmeister’s latest “Perform at a Higher Level” advertising campaign, in which the company sent a team from its branding agency, Wisconsinbased z2, around the U.S. to notable job sites in which Putzmeister equipment was used. The photographer used a unique light painting/composite photography technique, highlighting the equipment and its elaborate surroundings, from a New York tunnel to the Hoover Dam. Putzmeister received three Awards for Excellence in Photography, an Award of Distinction in Photography, an Award of Distinction in the Calendar category, and an Award of Distinction in the Print Advertising Campaign category.
“We’re extremely proud of this campaign,” said Bill Dwyer, vice president of sales and marketing for Putzmeister. “It not only shows off the design and engineering of our machines, but also the varied landscapes in which our equipment can be found working.” The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the AIVA, a 600-plus member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.
