Seven—yes, that’s right, seven—years ago I was asked by the ACPA’s executive director, Christi Collins, to attend a meeting with the California Air Resource Board, “fondly” known as CARB to see if anything they were working on would be of interest or have an effect upon concrete pumpers. The answer was “$%&@#!!!” Since then, I have attended almost every monthly board meeting and served on any number of committees and panels to try and slow down or stop this growing bureaucracy.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has redesigned its website, www.PutzmeisterAmerica.com, to integrate its four brands: Putzmeister America, Pro-Tech Used Equipment, Putzmeister Shotcrete Technology and Putzmeister Pipe Technology, while carrying through the new look of the Putzmeister creative platform, offering a more user-friendly navigation, and increasing informational content.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Stephen Crane as vice president and chief financial officer, heading the finance and information systems operations for the Americas.

Putzmeister Brazil, a subsidiary of Putzmeister America, Inc., recently delivered its 100th piece of equipment produced in the country, a new generation 36Z-meter truckmounted concrete boom pump.

To commemorate the milestone, Putzmeister Brazil employees attended a ceremony that took place at the factory in Atibaia, Brazil, located 40 miles from São Paulo.

GREENSBORO, NC (Sept. 25, 2013) – Mack Trucks, Inc. today announced that Stephen Roy has been named President of North American Sales & Marketing, effective January 1, 2014.  Roy has led the company’s aftermarket business since 2008, and will succeed Kevin Flaherty, who is retiring after more than 40 years of dedicated service.
