On March 1, 1974, a group of concrete pumpers, manufacturers and distributors gathered aboard the iconic ocean liner Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. They met to discuss promoting concrete pumping as the choice method of placing concrete — and how to educate the industry on safe pumping procedures.
The ACPA announced the election of its new executive board at the ACPA Annual Meeting and Awards Presentation on January 24, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada during World of Concrete 2024. Elected to serve a one-year term, the newly elected Executive Board includes:
Les Ainsworth, a 59-year industry veteran, has shared a lifetime of knowledge as a presenter at World of Concrete (WOC) since 1978. Speaking on behalf of the American Concrete Pumping Association (ACPA), he has led sessions on topics including concrete pumping methods, the costs of pumping concrete, preventive maintenance and safety.
