Putzmeister Introduces New Technology, Equipment at 2012 World of Concrete Show

Putzmeister America, Inc. showcased several new engineering advancements at the World of Concrete trade show held in January in Las Vegas, including the unveiling of the brand new 42Z-meter truck-mounted concrete boom pump, introduction of the semi-trailer mounted Telebelt® TBS 130 and upgrades to the 40Z-meter truck-mounted concrete boom pump.

“For the past 50 years, Putzmeister has been committed to continuous innovation in the design and manufacturing of concrete pumps,” says Bill Dwyer, vice president of sales and marketing for Putzmeister America. “It was an honor to introduce our loyal customers and the industry to our latest advancements at this year’s show.”

Putzmeister had one of its strongest show sales in several years, including the sale of the new 42Z.16H truckmounted concrete boom pump to Concrezac Brasil. The innovative new pump makes a gross weight of less than 66,000 pounds possible, offers increased parts commonality between components of the pipe system and an improved pipe layout, and features the new Ergonic® Graphic Display, which uses wireless computer technology and offers a high-resolution, color screen.

Also on display was the TBS 130, which features a unique semi-trailer mount that offers greater mobility, a tighter turning radius and reduced axle loads. The design allows customers to choose between a two- or three-axle chassis, depending on their preference and needs.

Visitors to the Putzmeister booth also had the chance to view the upgraded 40Z-meter truck-mounted concrete boom pump, which featured the new Ergonic® Graphic Display, and was outfitted with an optional SBU pistonside conversion kit and a special highpressure back-end kit.

In addition to the new equipment introduced at the show, Putzmeister also unveiled a new, technology-driven trade show booth complete with touchscreen monitors showcasing its portfolio of products and QR codes, allowing guests the opportunity to learn more at the touch of a button on their smart phones.

Additionally, Concretepumping.com recognized the Putzmeister team at the show for its work on the Fukushima Nuclear Reactor. Todd Bullis, owner of the website, presented select Putzmeister staff with special hard hats to commemorate the company’s relief efforts.
