SCHWING America Presents Industry Leaders with Lifetime Achievement Awards

SCHWING America was honored to present several industry leaders with the “SCHWING America / Tom Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award” during World of Concrete in Las Vegas. This is the company’s top award, acknowledging a person’s outstanding contributions to SCHWING and the concrete pumping industry.

This year’s recipients were Bob Haight from Opportunity Equipment, Roy Thompson from Champion Concrete Pumping and Jim Toothaker from Independent Concrete Pumping.

Bobby Haight started pumping concrete in 1968 with Challenge Squeeze Crete. He bought his first SCHWING 28-meter concrete pump in 1981 and went into business for himself.

Roy Thompson started Champion Concrete Pumping in 1986 and his first SCHWING was a 1977 BPL800-KVM 28/24-125 mounted on a 1973 Mack.

Jimmy Toothaker started Independent Concrete Pumping in 1979 with one pump. Over the years, Jim has bought 177 SCHWING concrete pumps and today owns 28 SCHWINGs.

The awards were presented by SCHWING CEO Johannes Schulze Vohren and Tom Anderson.

SCHWING applauds Bob, Roy and Jim for their dedicated service.
