ASCC Establishes Sustainability Initiative Hotline

ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, has established a telephone hotline and an email address for the sole purpose of receiving and answering questions about concrete construction as it relates to the industry’s sustainability initiative. Both are for members only. Jim Klinger, ASCC concrete construction specialist, answers both, with input from other ASCC technical staff and consultants.

The dedicated hotline and email are the efforts of ASCC’s Sustainability Committee, co-chaired by Bruce Suprenant, PhD, P.E., FACI, and Bev Garnant, HACI. Members include representatives from PCA, NRMCA, ACI, and CRSI, as well as concrete contractors, producers, cement manufacturers, consultants, general contractors, and owners from across the country.

The American Society of Concrete Contractors is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the capabilities of those who build with concrete, and to providing them a unified voice in the construction industry. Members include concrete contracting firms, manufacturers, suppliers, and others interested in the concrete industry such as architects, specifiers, and distributors. There are approximately 700 member companies in the United States and 10 foreign countries. For more information, visit www.ascconline.org or call the ASCC office at (866) 788-2722.
