Schwing Adds VP of Operations

Schwing America, a leading manufacturer of concrete equipment, has created the new position of vice president of operations. The company has hired Kris Zehren to fill the position. Zehren brings 20 years of relevant experience to the job, with past positions at Wacker Neuson and Mercury Marine. “The VP of operations is responsible for optimizing all facets of the business process,” explains Schwing chief executive off icer Bill Murray, “and we are extremely fortunate to have found someone with Kris’s experience and passion.”

At her recent position as director of operations for construction equipment manufacturer Wacker Neuson, Zehren aff ected change throughout the company customer relationship management tool to implement performance metrics, and also developed sales and distribution strategies. “My approach to the position is that we are always improving the processes,” Zehren explains.

At Mercury Marine, Zehren was able to put her education to work in all aspects of the operation from new product development, to manufacturing and operations strategies. She held the positions of senior manufacturing engineer, new product development manager and production control manager at the company during her seven-year tenure. Zehren earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering at the Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Master’s of Business Administration and Management from Marquette University.

“Kris will be responsible for production departments and work closely with other operations departments to enhance Schwing America’s success, while delivering quality products and improving on manufacturing costs, execution and performance,” states Murray.
