Putzmeister America, Inc. Remembers Longtime Friend Joaquin Zamora

Putzmeister America, Inc. is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Joaquin Zamora, who was a longtime friend and employee of Putzmeister.

Joaquin began his career with Putzmeister 25 years ago in production. During his tenure at Putzmeister, he became very well respected by his peers and worked his way up to assisting in the creation of the Latin America and Caribbean export business for the company, becoming a Latin America service manager.

“Work was his passion,” said Greg Giese, technical service manager and Zamora’s direct supervisor at Putzmeister. “Joaquin loved that his job allowed for him to travel across Latin America and teach customers the ins and outs of the equipment. He was very good at connecting with his customers.”

At work, Joaquin was known for his positive attitude. He was always working above and beyond to meet the needs of the customer and Putzmeister as a whole. The Latin American customer base saw Joaquin as a true friend and valued the skills he taught.

“Joaquin was my right-hand man for the last 25 years,” said Marc Aguilar, vice president of sales for Latin America and the Caribbean at Putzmeister. “He will be remembered as a great teacher, friend and coworker.”

Joaquin passed away unexpectedly in January 2019. He was 65 years old and is survived by his wife and three children.

“He always lived life to the fullest,” said Giese. “He was a good friend and coworker who will be sorely missed.”
