Concrete Pump Repair Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Concrete Pump Repair (CPR), a Schwing company, is celebrating 30 years in business. The company’s facility, located 30 miles north of the Schwing plant, repairs, repaints, retrucks and refurbishes all brands of concrete pumps and also sells pre-owned units. Vice president / GM of remarketing, Jerry Anderson, proudly states, “At CPR, the expert technicians who inspect all the used pumps we sell are the same service professionals who work to extend the life and safety of your equipment for years to come.”

“Early in Schwing America’s history, we recognized the need to provide an outlet for trade-ins,” explains Tom O’Malley, Schwing senior vice president of sales and marketing. “CPR has done an admirable job of that and much more.”

The refurbishing center also rebuilds parts for older pumps and keeps an inventory of genuine Schwing parts for repairs. “We are often part of the marketing plan of smaller pumping companies who want to graduate to a longer boom but can’t afford a new unit,” explains Anderson. The company also provides CPR CompleteTM Service Plans that boost resale value and prevent costly malfunctions and down time.

A CPR state-of-the-art boom inspection and thorough service work help spot issues before they become failures. “Customers report that a CPR boom inspection has more value because it is carried out by factory-trained technicians,” according to Anderson. “It is definitely one of the most thorough inspections in the industry.”

With a large inventory of used pumps, CPR provides the ability to trade used on used and choose from a vast array of services to bring a pre-owned pump up to like-new condition. Retrucking gives many older pumps a new life with a fresh chassis. “Our technicians can also apply Schwing engineering to long booms to meet state, federal or provincial weight laws by adding axles,” Anderson adds.

CPR changed the industry by being one of the first companies to market used concrete pumps online.
