Schwing Hosts Operator Safety Seminar

Schwing hosts ACPA Operator Safety Seminar in 2017Men and women from throughout the Midwest met on April 22, for an ACPA operator training seminar. Former Schwing employee and industry expert Dan Mace conducted the seminar at the White Bear, Minnesota factory. More than 50 people attended the all-day seminar that included lunch. A certification test was administered at the end of the seminar by ACPA staffers Sue Schumacher and Shawna Helber.

The ACPA offers the only nationally-recognized safety certification program for concrete pump operators. More than 5,000 concrete pump operators nationwide have received training to help them achieve the highest degree of professionalism and to maintain the strictest standards for safety. Certification has been shown to improve safety, decrease accident rates in the workplace, and has become a critical standard for customers looking for reliable, high-quality pumping contractors.

Certification can be attained by attending Operator Training Seminars held throughout the U.S. and Latin America, or by watching the ACPA Operator Safety Presentation. This DVD available from ACPA is a narrated version of the “live” ACPA operator safety seminar PowerPoint presentation and is designed to give operators easier access to fulfilling the safety training requirement for certification.
