ST. LOUIS, MO – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC) Education, Research and Development Foundation has awarded a scholarship to Daniel Greene, a student in the Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program at Middle Tennessee State University, Murpheesboro, TN. Greene received $5,000.
To qualify for the scholarship, a student must be enrolled full time in the CIM program and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
The ASCC Foundation was created in 1989 to fund education and research that advances the quality and productivity of concrete construction.

LOUIS, MO – Bev Garnant, executive director of the American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, announced today that the Concrete Polishing Association of America, (CPAA) will merge with ASCC. CPAA will become the Concrete Polishing Council, a specialty council of ASCC. ASCC has three other councils: the Decorative Concrete Council, the Safety & Risk Management Council, and the Manufacturer’s Advisory Council.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has added John Roberts as director of engineering. In the role, he will manage the engineering functions for the design and manufacturing of products at Putzmeister facilities in the U.S., Brazil, and Mexico.

Putzmeister America, Inc. has added Phillip Ketcham as Southeast sales representative for the company’s full line of equipment, working alongside Southeast regional sales manager, James Rogers, with current and prospective customers in that region of the U.S.

A contingent of more than 100 Schwing customers and employees joined a recordsetting crowd at Bauma 2016, the largest construction trade show in the world, held April 11-17 in Munich. The Schwing customers earned their trips by purchasing a concrete pump through a 2015 sales promotion. The international trade fair attracted more than 580,000 attendees from 200 countries, with 3,423 exhibits spread over 140 acres.
