Schwing America’s Monday night reception at World of Concrete 2016 for customers and industry leaders resulted in record attendance. “As our market share grows, so does the crowd at our annual social gathering,” reported CEO Brian Hazelton, who addressed the crowded ballroom. Hazelton took the opportunity to thank everyone in the room for their loyalty, and to introduce some new Schwing employees who were attending the show for the first time.
Vice president / general manager of concrete pumps, Tom O’Malley, intrigued the crowd with a new Schwing booth design, and thanked his team members for a great effort. He also congratulated long-term customers Pumpcrete on their 50th anniversary, and Ramcrete on their 40th anniversary. Both companies had concrete pumps in the Schwing booth. Hazelton later presented Pumpcrete with an anniversary award.
Schwing’s new booth design featured a Welcome Center, new offices and layout. The equipment included several boom pumps, stationary pumps and two truck mixers. The company introduced their new control system, SCT™, which stands for “Schwing control technology,” one of the most innovative mixer control systems on the market today. It offers new load and mix functions, as well as fuel savings, better mix quality and the ability for the drum to automatically adjust drum speed when going uphill to prevent accidental spills.
In addition to Schwing customers and their families, members of the ACPA and other association executives were in attendance at the reception, along with members of the press and Schwing vendors.
