New Video Shows One-Sided Outrigger Pumping is EASy

A new Schwing video, narrated by Tom O’Malley, vice-president and general manager–concrete pumps, illustrates the Schwing EASy system of one-sided outrigger operation. Using aerial video and close-ups of the Vector control panel, viewers will see how the EASy system provides precise instructions to the operator. Choices offered to the operator include which side of the machine to deploy the outriggers, and whether to employ the EASy or EASy Flex program.

Animations in the video show the 140-degree operating range in the EASy mode and the 200-degree range of EASy Flex. The presentation includes top down views of the machine, graphically displaying the reduction in required setup space with a one-sided outrigger setup. One scene illustrates that the EASy setup can accommodate two truck mixers at the hopper.

O’Malley explains how EASy keeps the boom within the operating parameters and will not deploy if setup is not in the proper sequence to assure safe operation. Close-ups of an S 61 SX show how sensors on the machine monitor outrigger and boom position.

The EASy system is standard on all Schwing boom pumps with 43-to 61-meter booms, and optional on shorter boom models. To view the video, visit www.schwing.com or type SchwingTV into your browser to visit the company’s YouTube page.
