Putzmeister America, Inc. now requires all of its field service technicians to be Occupational and Safety Health Administration (OSHA) compliant. Each technician is required to take an OSHA outreach training course for the general industry.
“At Putzmeister, we are especially stringent on safety standards,” said Doug Brunet, director of customer support for Putzmeister. “The fact that all of our field service technicians are educated on OSHA regulations benefits our customers on any job site, especially those that are high-profile and closely regulated.”
OSHA outreach training is the principal method used to train workers in the essentials of occupational safety and health in general industry work sites. The course covers specific OSHA standards and requirements as they apply to general industry and teaches safety awareness, which helps in recognizing and reducing the risks of jobsite hazards.
