ASCC Elects New Slate of Officers

Mike Poppoff, Poppoff, Inc., Moxee, Washington, has been elected president of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, St. Louis, Missouri, for 2013-2014. Scott Anderson, Houston, Texas; Rocky Geans, Mishawaka, Indiana; Chris Plue, San Mateo, California and Thomas Zinchiak, Woodbine, Maryland were elected vice presidents. Keith Wayne, Kannapolis, North Carolina was re-elected secretary/treasurer. Mario Garza, Southfield, Michigan; Heston Hamilton, Orem, Utah and Jason Swagert, Apex, North Carolina were elected as new directors. Anthony DeCarlo, Jr., Cincinnati, Ohio; Ray Merlo, Milford, Michigan; Peter Ruttura, West Babylon, New York and David Somero, New Ipswich, New Hampshire were re-elected as directors.

The Decorative Concrete Council, a specialty council of the ASCC, re-elected Chris Klemaske, T.B. Penick & Sons Inc., San Diego, California, as council director. Paul Schneider, Cincinnati, Ohio, was re-elected secretary/ treasurer. Stevie Ray Lloyd, Forest, Virginia; Neil Roach, Danville, Illinois and Chris Sullivan, Littleton, Colorado were elected as new directors. Nick Adams, Cleveland, Ohio; John Belarde, Woodenville, Washington; Clark Branum, Marysville, Washington; Tim Fisher, Louisville, Colorado; Marshall Hoskins, Columbia, South Carolina; Dionne Hutchings Ojeda, Dallas, Texas; Gregory Hyde Hryniewicz, Annapolis, Maryland; Jim Mullins, Naperville, Illinois; Kevin Percy, Walpole, Massachusetts; Rob Sousa, East Providence, Rhode Island; and Wes Vollmer, San Antonio, Texas were re-elected as directors of the DCC Advisory Council.

The ASCC Safety and Risk Management Council re-elected Steve Pereira, Professional Safety Associates, Denham Springs, Louisiana as council director and Scott Winkler, Hamilton, Ohio as secretary/treasurer. Gavin Banks, Santa Monica, California; and Doug Peters, Lansing, Michigan were elected new directors. Bill Bramschreiber, Pasadena, California; Janet Greco, West Babylon, NewYork; Mike Schneider, Monroe, Ohio and Ken Sullivan, Boston, Massachusetts were re-elected as directors.

Mike Ferguson, Multiquip, Inc., Carson, California, was re-elected council director of the Manufacturer’s Advisory Council, and Jeremy Clark, Chicago, Illinois has been re-elected as secretary/treasurer. Malcolm Smith, Marietta, Georgia and Jeff Snyder, York, Pennsylvania were elected new members of the Council, and Jay Allen, Paragould, Arkansas; and Michael Schaeffer, Little Ferry, New Jersey were re-elected directors.
