He started at Baker Concrete in Monroe, Ohio as a project manager in 1978 and helped open Baker’s Houston, Texas, office in 1982. Putzmeister America, Inc. announces that Tom Redding has been named its new west central regional sales manager. He will be responsible for overseeing new and used equipment sales in Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Nebraska, Utah and Wyoming, in addition to British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.

Work continues on the final stages of the new ACPA Operator Safety Presentation DVD, which will become the mandatory education requirement beginning January 1, 2012 for all operators seeking ACPA certification or recertification.

But even though California may be many miles away, their programs are still viewed by some states as the “model” upon which to build their own regulatory programs, and these could directly affect owners of concrete pumps nationwide.
"Although the new ACPA Operator Safety Presentation Program DVD is a great alternative to attending a live presentation since it affords easier access to safety training, it still cannot capture the interaction benefit of attending a live safety seminar,” says executive director Christi Collins. “Operators are able to relate with the speaker as well as share their real-life experiences with other operators and there is the opportunity to ask pertinent questions that are not addressed in the recorded program.
