Putzmeister America, Inc. has announced Bob Bartholomew as its new chief financial officer (CFO). In his new role, Bob will be responsible for financial planning and managing financial risks, while overseeing the finance and information technology teams.
Bob comes to Putzmeister with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing, financial services and hospitality. Most recently, he was the global senior director of finance for JLG Aftermarket. Bartholomew holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
Putzmeister America, Inc. has partnered with Engs Commercial Finance Co. to offer LenderTrax, a tool to provide equipment financing to customers looking for new and used equipment. The online portal includes calculator tools to help customers prequalify in a few simple steps.

Kriete Truck Center of Milwaukee, Wisconsin is Mack Trucks’ 2018 North American Dealer of the Year. Mack made the announcement during its annual dealer meeting, which brings together dealer leadership from the U.S. and Canada. Kriete Truck Center of Milwaukee finished the year 17 percent above its sales plan and 29 percent above its leasing plan.
Putzmeister America, Inc. attended World of Concrete January 22–25, 2019 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. At the show, Putzmeister’s 10,000 square-foot booth showcased various equipment models, including the new Vehicle Series Pickup Pump VSP 70, and announced the new 51Z-meter truckmounted boom pump.
To better serve its customers, Con Forms has invested in a new facility for its West Coast distribution hub, offering a cleaner and more spacious warehouse for increased stocking capabilities and operations. It is located at 15141 South Figueroa Street in Gardena, California, 90248, less than 10 minutes from the previous warehouse in Gardena, and will carry the same phone numbers and other contact information.
Putzmeister America, Inc. is deeply saddened by the recent loss of Joaquin Zamora, who was a longtime friend and employee of Putzmeister.
Joaquin began his career with Putzmeister 25 years ago in production. During his tenure at Putzmeister, he became very well respected by his peers and worked his way up to assisting in the creation of the Latin America and Caribbean export business for the company, becoming a Latin America service manager.
Schwing America associates took time out from World of Concrete this year to honor Gary Nichols with the “Tom Anderson Lifetime Achievement Award,” the company’s top award acknowledging a person’s outstanding contributions to Schwing and the concrete pumping industry.
Tom O’Malley, Schwing senior vice president for sales and marketing, presented the award, citing the many achievements made by Nichols, including a history in concrete that spans more than five decades.
Putzmeister India, Inc. assisted in setting two Guinness World Records, one for Largest Continuous Concrete Pour and one for Most Concrete Continuously Poured in 24 Hours. The record-setting pour took place on the site of the Polavaram Project in Andhra Pradesh, continuously pouring 42,267 cubic yards of concrete for 24 hours.
Representatives from Schwing America took a break from this year’s highly-successful World of Concrete to acknowledge the achievements of three of its leading stationary pump dealers. At a reception held at Wynn Las Vegas for its customers and dealers on Monday, January 21, the company recognized the trio of outstanding performers.
While the 1980s rock band Quiet Riot declared they were “born to rock,” we like to say our concrete pumpers are “born to pump.” Thus, “Born to Pump” was the motto for ACPA’s annual cocktail party kicking off World of Concrete. With a rollicking rock-and-roll theme, the party was held Tuesday, January 22 at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel.
