New ACPA President

Wayne Bylsma - ACPA PresidentNew ACPA President: Wayne Bylsma of Cherokee Pumping

ACPA is excited to announce its new President Wayne Bylsma. Bylsma has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in concrete pumping and concrete manufacturing, with an emphasis in sales, marketing, customer relations and business development. Previously, Bylsma held the title of vice president of ACPA and has also served as chairperson of the ACPA Communications Committee since 2014.

Over the course of 20 years, Bylsma grew his company Cherokee Pumping Inc. into a highly successful organization. Under Bylsma’s leadership, Cherokee Pumping multiplied its concrete pump presence from a fleet of seven in Hampton, Georgia, to a fleet of 44 pumps dispersed in five major cities.

Bylsma also established a volumetric concrete company, SiteMix LLC, in Metro Atlanta that produces concrete onsite rather than using traditional ready mixed concrete. SiteMix has also found great success since its inception in 2015. SiteMix has opened an Alabama location and has expanded into grouting with SiteMix Pressure Grouting LLC.

With both Cherokee Pumping and SiteMix, Bylsma is responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects of the companies, including marketing, sales and customer relations.

A member of the ACPA for the past 12 years, Bylsma shares his favorite thing about the organization: “I appreciate the efforts of our members to improve and strive to increase the value of our services.” While the concrete pumping industry can be demanding at times, Bylsma says he enjoys problem solving. “I enjoy the challenges of the industry and working with people and businesses across all facets of the construction projects,” Bylsma says.

When he’s not working, Bylsma enjoys time by the lake, surfing and relaxing with friends and family. He is very involved at his alma mater Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminology and played football.

We are thrilled to welcome Wayne Bylsma into his new role at ACPA and look forward to his contributions as president.
