Lifetime Achievement: (Video)
The ACPA Lifetime Achievement Award is reserved for those individuals whose careers have not only fostered and advanced the concrete pumping industry, but who have also faithfully served, contributing limitless time, energy, knowledge and passion to ensure the success of the association and the industry as a whole. This year’s award was presented to Robert Edwards of NBIS.
White Bear, MN - The ACPA Operator Safety Seminar and Safety Certification Training held at White Bear March 14 was attended by more than 60 concrete pumping professionals. It was good to see Schwing customers throughout the crowd and it is always good to see safety training in progress. Each member who attended received a Schwing gift bag and lunch. The ACPA is dedicated to the education and promotion of concrete pump safety for all those who come into contact with a concrete pump on a construction site.
So what is the fish bowl method? Some like to call it the cookie jar method. It is simply a cash-driven method of analyzing a business to determine whether the business is making money or not.
The ACPA is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Mace as an independent safety consultant for special projects. Mace recently retired from Schwing America as product safety manager after 17 years of service and was a concrete pump operator for over 18 years. He has been a primary presenter of ACPA safety seminars as well as the co-author of the Small Line Safety Manual, Ready Mixed Safety Manual and instrumental in the development of the operator training program, as well as numerous other safety publications.
