Pumping Knowledge into Your Business: Education Conference Proves Another Big Success

The 2019 ACPA Education Conference proved to be another big success, as the concrete pumping industry gathered to learn, network and see the newest in equipment and technology. With the recurring theme of “Pumping Knowledge into Your Business,” this year’s conference was held Oct. 6-7 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Florida.

For the third time, ACPA’s conference was co-located with NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks, which allowed ACPA attendees the opportunity not only to network with other concrete pumpers, but also with ready mixed producers and members of the NRMCA. More than 200 attendees had the opportunity to attend both ACPA and NRMCA education seminars, as well as several joint social events. Seminars covered a wide variety of topics vital to running a concrete pumping business: financial strategies, safety, maintenance, employee development and more.

This year’s event featured a family fun night with several tailgating games and football-themed activities for all ages. It also marked a continuing, exciting transition with the expansion of the exposition hall’s size.

“Co-locating with NRMCA brings even more equipment and industry personnel to the show,” says Christi Collins, ACPA executive director. “We’re thrilled with the continuation of synergy and collaboration between our organizations.”

The ACPA Education Conference is an important part of ACPA’s mission to grow and develop the concrete pumping industry. Preparations are already in the works for the 2021 Pumping Knowledge into Your Business conference and details will be announced soon.
