Mike Cusack passed away on Tuesday December 18th, 2018. He was surrounded by his three loving daughters, two son-in-laws, his dear sister and his best friend of 55 years.

Mike was born in Modesto, California to Mary and George Cusack. He grew up in Pleasant Hill, California graduated Pleasant Hill High School in 1967 and then attended San Diego State. Mike built a long career at The Conco Companies located in Concord, California. He started there as manager of North Bay Concrete in Cordelia, and spent the latter part of his career as the Vice President of Operations for Conco Pumping. Mike was very proud of the contributions he made to Conco and also enjoyed becoming very active in the American Concrete Pumping Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the ACPA for 13 years, and was President for three years. He received the ACPA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. After he retired from Conco, Mike remained active in the ACPA as recent chair of the Education and Legislative Committee and as a member of the Education Conference Committee and Safety-Certification Committees. His passion for politics played a key role in obtaining several successful advocacy outcomes on issues affecting the industry. In addition to expert witnessing, Mike was a safety and operations consultant for many pumping companies throughout the country.

Mike was loved and respected by so many. He was a friend to everyone, able to find common ground with anyone. The friendships that Mike built over his lifetime were of the utmost importance to him. Mike was generous, kind, loyal, hard-working and he believed in second chances. He was known for his quick wit and loved to tell jokes... even bad ones! Mike was the ultimate host and a wonderful cook, all who were lucky to know him benefitted from his delicious meals. He enjoyed traveling and trying new restaurants. Mike loved to have a good time and celebrate life. On any given day you would find him on the bocce courts, laughing with family and friends, or most likely sitting down to a scrumptious meal with those he cherished most.
