CERTIFICATION TEST REVISION

The ACPA Certification Committee recently completed a review of the ACPA Operator Certification Test, and as a result, an updated version of the test, version 01.17, will take effect January 1, 2017. After this date, the National Office can no longer accept previous versions for grading.

Although the learning materials and test cover a broad spectrum of safety procedures associated with operating a concrete pump, special emphasis is placed upon how to avoid the most common accidents, specifically electrocutions, tip-overs and hose whippings, through a series of repetitive reviews. Repetition learning has proven to be effective in forcing the subconscious to permanently store information for recall and use at any time, information which has been repeated frequently and in various ways, thus enabling the operator to react and respond appropriately in potentially dangerous situations.

Any unused prior versions of the test must be received by the National Office by December 31, 2016. Beginning January 1, 2017 only the new version of the test can be processed. Old versions received after the deadline date will be returned for re-testing; however, the ACPA will replace, FREE OF CHARGE, any unused prior versions by simply sending the old tests to the ACPA National Office.
