Dan Mace Retires to ACPA

The ACPA is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Mace as an independent safety consultant for special projects. Mace recently retired from Schwing America as product safety manager after 17 years of service and was a concrete pump operator for over 18 years. He has been a primary presenter of ACPA safety seminars as well as the co-author of the Small Line Safety Manual, Ready Mixed Safety Manual and instrumental in the development of the operator training program, as well as numerous other safety publications. He has been active on the ACPA certification committee and the equipment and safety applications committee.

In between his retirement activities, which include a lot of fishing, hunting and enjoying his grandchildren, Mace will apply his safety knowledge in helping to develop new programs, as well as ensuring existing programs stay up to date and compliant with industry practices. He also will continue to present safety seminars on behalf of ACPA.

“Dan is one of the most well-known and respected experts in the field of concrete pumping safety and will be a great asset not just to the association, but for the industry as well. With his dedicated help, it will allow us to move projects forward at a much faster pace and to achieve a greater level of quality in maintaining our current programs such as certification,” says Christi Collins, ACPA executive director. “We couldn’t be more pleased for the opportunity to have Dan on board.”
