Fink has 40 years in the concrete pumping industry. He began his career in a family business in 1983 and is currently vice president and general manager of CF&T Concrete Pumping in Hayward, California.

The microsite was recognized in April with a Gold Award by the Hermes 2023 Creative Awards, and in May with a 2023 Communicator Award of Distinction for exceeding industry standards for quality and achievement.
Late last month, the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published proposed greenhouse gas standards for heavy-duty truck emissions for model year 2027 through 2032. EPA emission standards apply to concrete pumps nationwide. These new “Phase 3” standards build on the “Phase 2” standards established in 2016.
Shortly after issuing a citation to an employer, OSHA will often agree to reduce the penalty amount, provided the employer agrees not to contest it. But could agreeing not to contest your citation invite further trouble? Possibly. At the very least, contractors should give the issue considerable thought before entering into an early settlement with OSHA. And if you do decide to settle, always work to get the citation reduced to an “Other than Serious” status. Many of the companies you work with will overlook “Other than Serious” citations, but will frown on “Serious” citations and above.

Scholarships are for undergraduate, graduate and vocational students in fields related to Concrete, Concrete Pumping, Construction and Engineering, Construction Management and Administration and Vocational studies related to concrete pumps and trucks.
For the second consecutive year, Alliance Concrete Pumps donated the highest-selling auction item at the 2023 CIM Charity Auction, held at the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas in January. This year’s donation was a 2023 Alliance JXLZ 38-meter concrete pump truck-mounted on a Kenworth T880, selling for $505,000. The proceeds of this auction benefits the Concrete Industry Management program, helping to develop the next generation of concrete industry professionals.
