On October 23, 2024, the State of Texas eliminated the exemption from Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements for concrete pumps operating only in Texas. Texas State Highway Patrol has issued a 90-day warning period for implementation of these new concrete pump requirements. By January 21, 2025, all concrete pumps operating in Texas must have a USDOT number and must comply with FMCSA requirements including Hours of Service, medical standards, and driver record keeping, including the use of ELDs.
The ACPA will host a webinar presented by Sergeant Barrett Brown of the Texas Department of Public Safety on the new DOT requirements for concrete pumpers that operate exclusively in Texas.
The webinar will be held on Monday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. Sergeant Brown will be available for questions immediately following the conclusion of the webinar.
