Saturday sessions will begin at 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM and resume on Sunday from 8:00 AM until 9:00 AM  (excludes the Train the Trainer Workshop).

Pump Rodeo
Also known as the “Pump Rodeo” this event will begin on Saturday at 10:30 AM and is open to operators who would like to participate in a competition where they are evaluated on their proficiency in maneuvering the boom through a series of challenges. In addition to a trophy, the operator earning the highest marks will win $500 (and bragging rights of course!)

Train the Trainer Workshop
The workshop will be held Sunday from 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Train the Trainer will allow participants the opportunity to become designated ACPA Authorized Training Administrators (ATAs). Qualified individuals will learn how to deliver the ACPA Operator Safety Training Program and how to properly administer the ACPA Operator Certification Test. Applicants do not necessarily need to be an expert on all aspects of the safety training material; however, they should be able to be a good communicator of the material content. Professional speaking experience is not required.

FEATURED SESSION: BUILDING FROM THE BOTTOM UP – HOW SERVANT LEADERSHIP IS THE KEY TO A MORE SUCCESSFUL FUTURE
How you lead your team has a profound impact on the culture of your company; a weak foundation, much like concrete, will develop cracks over time. Servant leadership requires you have the humility, insight and courage to acknowledge that you can learn from people at all levels and support them in accomplishing the goals of your organization. It is one of the most effective approaches to guiding team members toward an outcome that fosters growth, contentedness, and encouragement. The team members in your company also have a responsibility to take ownership of their position and the outcomes of their own leadership.

In this session hosted by Jason Almeida, an expert in concrete pump repair and well-versed in all pump brands, you’ll learn how to effectively troubleshoot some of the problems that typically occur with your pump while it’s onsite.

Buyer beware! Have you ever purchased a used concrete pump only to realize later that what you actually bought was someone else’s headache? This session will begin with used equipment expert, Dale Bone, Jr., giving you tips on what to look for and how to better distinguish a good purchase from a bad choice, which will help limit your risk before you make that next used equipment investment.

Next, Dave Wright (lead engineer) and Jon Carrier (technical support and training expert) will offer advice on troubleshooting problems in the field, as well as dispel the myths associated with Putzmeister’s Ergonic Operating System.  They will also introduce the new Ergonic 3 Operating System (it really is the best of Ergonic 1 and 2!) highlighting its new interface that provides intuitive system navigation, multi-level emergency operation, reintroduced control panel display diagnostic and maintenance tools, and a remote control that combines the best of past and present designs.
