SESSION DESCRIPTIONS:

FEATURED SESSION: BUILDING FROM THE BOTTOM UP – HOW SERVANT LEADERSHIP IS THE KEY TO A MORE SUCCESSFUL FUTURE
How you lead your team has a profound impact on the culture of your company; a weak foundation, much like concrete, will develop cracks over time. Servant leadership requires you have the humility, insight and courage to acknowledge that you can learn from people at all levels and support them in accomplishing the goals of your organization. It is one of the most effective approaches to guiding team members toward an outcome that fosters growth, contentedness, and encouragement. The team members in your company also have a responsibility to take ownership of their position and the outcomes of their own leadership.

During this dynamic session, concrete contractors, Rocky Geans and Tommy Ruttura, will give insights into how you can build a culture – from the bottom up - that creates added value to your contractors, reinforces your safety program and evokes the best from your team members.

Topics to include:

  • How is your company perceived by your team members and contractors?
  • What value can a pumping company offer to set themselves apart from the competition
  • How to say “no” when you “know” it’s not safe and mean it!
  • What you can do to support your operators, managers and every team member in your organization.
  • Team members must take ownership of their position, it’s responsibilities and the outcomes of their own leadership.

AUTOCAR
Purchasing a truck-mounted concrete boom pump is a major investment. While you probably do a great deal of homework before purchasing the pump, how much do you really know about the features and technology of your truck chassis?

This session is chock-full of answers to many of the questions you should consider before purchasing your next truck chassis and gives insight into technological advancements and improvements that will improve your overall ownership and operating experience.

Covered topics include:

  • On-board engine, transmission, ABS, and chassis diagnostics
  • Telematic systems
  • Tires
  • Comfort features/cab amenities
  • Adaptive/anti-collision systems
  • Air disc brakes
  • Diesel emission technology—current and future
  • Auto transmission—advantages and features
  • Traction-control devices
  • Operation safety
  • Remote monitor troubleshooting capabilities

Your pump doesn’t work unless your truck is up and running. Before your next pump purchase, learn what options may be available from your chassis supplier-of-choice that can give you more uptime, safer operation, reduce operating costs, and an increased return on your overall pump and chassis investment.

CONSTRUCTION FORMS
Your concrete pumping system is only as strong and reliable as the sum of its parts. Ensuring that each component of your placing system can withstand the stress and pressures required to pump concrete goes a long way towards giving you the assurance of a safe and successful pour.

Significant advancements have been made in both the output that concrete pumps can deliver and the line pressures they can develop; the pipeline capabilities must match the pump capabilities. In this session, Construction Forms, one of the leading manufacturers of concrete placing pipe and accessories, will give you tips on how to get the most out of your pumping systems and parts, when they need replaced, and how to select the proper pipeline for your next project.

You’ll also learn:

  • The differences between single-wall and twin-wall pipe and what pumping applications are best suited for each one
  • What factors you should use when determining the proper pipeline for a project
  • What pipe should you use on high-pressure projects?
  • “Heat treating” what it means and why it’s important
  • The significance of “CPMA Certified” and why maintaining compliance with the ASME B30.27 Safety Standard will help protect your bottom line
