Pump Operator

This position assists in the Concrete Pump Operator with coordinating the placement of concrete through concrete boom truck. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set up, use and maintain tools & equipment associated with concrete pumps mounted on trucks, platforms, or separate placing booms. • May operate and drive truck (with valid CDL license) • Load & unload concrete placing systems & attachments • Tend 1 or more machines that pump concrete, grout, or dry mixtures of sand and cement • Routinely connect multiple hoses together & positions/repositions hoses • Shovel spilled concrete back into Company hopper • Operating pump by means of radio remote, cable remote or manual leers • Communicate problems on job site immediately to Operator and the office for resolution • Contain ALL hydraulic or diesel leaks • Conduct routine maintenance on pumps (i.e.: pipe, elbow & gasket replacement) • Conduct pre-trip & post-trip inspections on vehicle • Thoroughly clean pump after the completion of the job/day (i.e.: cab, remotes, side boxes, system, pump, boom, etc.) • Must have CDL • Must have previous experience operating concrete pumping truck and maintaining pumps • Schwing & Putzmeister experience preferred
