Schwing WOC Reception Enjoys Loyal Attendance

Joined by industry leaders including customers, association executives and vendors, Schwing America’s Monday night reception prior to World of Concrete 2017 saw a large turnout. “We built on last year’s success, and pre-orders suggest a strong 2017,” reported CEO Bill Murray, who addressed the crowded ballroom. Murray took the opportunity to thank everyone in the room for their loyalty and to introduce some new Schwing employees who were attending the show for the first time. Tom O’Malley, senior vice-president of sales and marketing and the other half of Schwing’s leadership team, updated the crowd on new models at the show.

O’Malley also provided a preview of the new Schwing booth design and thanked his team members for a great effort. Schwing’s new booth included a welcome center, new offices and layout. The equipment display included several boom pumps, stationary pumps and truck mixers. The company introduced the new S 38 SX with five-section boom. O’Malley predicted, “The S 38 SX will be the most popular boom in the Schwing line.” A new style SP 1000 stationary pump operated with Schwing Control Technology (SCT™) introduced changes to the stationary pump line going forward. SCT™ was also demonstrated on a truck mixer in the booth. The system offers load and mix functions as well as fuel savings, better mix quality and the ability for the drum to automatically adjust drum speed when going uphill to prevent accidental spills.

In addition to Schwing customers and their families, executives from ACPA and NRMCA were in attendance, along with members of the press and Schwing suppliers, including Mack Trucks and Con Forms representatives.
