Putzmeister Brazil Announces Addition of Maximiliano Josef Wagner as General Manager

Putzmeister America, Inc. has hired Maximiliano Josef Wagner as general manager at Putzmeister Brazil, a division of Putzmeister America. In his new role, he will manage operational aspects of the business.

Wagner has been brought on for a 12- to 18-month assignment with a goal to strengthen the local management team while Putzmeister launches key growth and profitability initiatives. These initiatives include streamlining the supply chain and developing strategic relationships with key local suppliers; launching service centers in Recife and Itajaí to grow the local spare parts business; and improving product / assembly quality.

“We’re pleased to welcome Maximiliano to our team,” said Dave Adams, president and CEO of Putzmeister. “With his experience in manufacturing and welding operations, specifically in international markets, we’re confident he’ll be a reliable resource to not only our customers, but also our employees.”

With more than 30 years of production and plant management experience in manufacturing, machining and welding operations at a number of German companies in Brazil, Wagner most recently led the turn-around at a manufacturer of industrial equipment in São Paulo. Wagner holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and industrial management, and a master of business administration from Ohio University. He is also fluent in English, German and Portuguese.

Steve Crane will continue as Putzmeister Brazil’s president, focusing on the financial and commercial aspects. Wagner will be based at Putzmeister Brazil’s headquarters in São Paulo.
